Locally Salvaged California Claro Walnut with jet-black epoxy resin. this is far from a traditional table, a mirror image or “bookmatched” top with striking grain, figure, symmetry, and pitch-black epoxy filling and stabilizing every crack and void.
Underneath the table 2” steel C-channel was inlaid to provide long term stability and ensure the table stays perfectly flat for generations. The top was then mounted on a pair of modern steel legs that are attached with threaded inserts and machine bolts. This will allow assembly and disassembly an infinite number of times with just an allen wrench.
